Not your normal Scottish weather ? Just another shorts & T-shirt day here

I always figured the british made a beeline for the tropics back in the colonial period as much for the weather as the agriculture and resources. Although living down here without central AC is about as bad as Europe without central heat I imagine.

No, not normal at any time of year. However, today was a glorious day in Edinburgh - sunshine, clouds and a pleasant breeze, at a balmy 16 degrees

Well based on my experiences in Germany 30+ years ago while working for the government, the sunshine alone is unusual enough. Northern Germany was not my cup of tea in the winter (and East Germany was depressing regardless of the weather ).
