A-huffin' and A-puffin'

Near the crest of Bealach Na Ba,...the road to Applecross and also Scotland's highest pass, I stopped in a large "Passing Place" to get a shot down the valley toward Loch Carron. Spotted these two hardy cyclists slowly chugging up the hill. They had climbed from the area of the loch that you see down below.

The first fellow especially was loudly huffing and puffing. I couldn't help but admire his perseverance.

I congratulated them as they passed me.

Canon F1 and 28mm FD lens with red #29 filter on it, and Fuji Neopan 400 film which I processed in Rodinal.

Was that a 'you're both bleepin nuts' type congratulation Brian? :D

Love the scenery, and then the comp with the road climbing through the frame

No Chris,...I told them "its all downhill from here lads, and there's a pub at the bottom." :) I sensed gratitude in their grunts. ;)

Thanks for the comments, Chris.

Excellent Brian and the bikes add so much to the shot I think. They really help with the scale. I'm sure they'd be pleased to know what a contribution they'd made!

Thanks Pete. I'm sure they enjoyed their pint at the bottom of the hill, too! Thanks again, Pete.
