This is my pal Bob. He and I and a couple of other chaps went for a brew after work one late afternoon.

Yashica Electro 35 GSN and Arista Premium 400 (re-branded Tri-X) that I shot at 800 and processed in Rodinal.

No PP to this image at all,...nothing. Shows how good the Electro is.

Superb image Brian. You put me to shame. Getting a film, opening the camera back, winding it on, shooting, taking the film out , Putting it onto a twirly thing, then in a tub, pour in and out the chemicals, have a stop watch, get agitated . Drying then scanning. That's on top of producing great images all the time. :)

Crikey Julian you have just reminded me of my youth which should have been misspent but which was usually helping Dad in his darkroom!

Lovely portrait though Brian. Perhaps next time you go for a brew, (which I hope was not a Liptons teabag on a string but a glass or two of Gentleman's Cordial), you do before and after shots!

It's a really good, natural photograph of your friend Brian.
It must give you great satisfaction to create an image without any post processing. I have not really ever achieved that; always some bloody adjustment required.

It's all part of the fun, Julian. And it's why digital cameras don't turn me on. (Although the Merrill shots from you and Hotty Scotty are making me have a re-think about that.) Thank you, Julian. Much appreciated.

Thanks, Pat. Liptons...? What's that? ;)

Thanks a lot, Tom. Its very satisfying, Tom. But I put it down to the quality of the camera in this case. Thanks again, Tom.
