A Morning Walk

A couple of shots taken with my T70 on a morning walk recently, along the Leeds and Liverpool canal.

I am full of admiration for the dead tree, which has been like that for years, but refuses to fall over.

The concrete blocks can be found on many canal bridges, and were cast in situ during the second world war. They had lifting eyes made of railway lines, and were ready to lift into place in order to block the bridges, to prevent enemy tank invasion, etc.

My first thought was this was from a T90 (I have one) but I was close, the T70. Looking good. What's the difference between the T90 and T70? And what film did you use, Stan?

I like the last two most of all.

You've just sneaked another one in! That tree is very photogenic isn't it? Have you shot any B&W of it? I don't realise they used rails in those blocks - interesting. My favourite shot of the set is the last one though. The curve leads you nicely into the scene. I might be tempted to straighten the post of the fence a bit though and maybe lose the bit of tree top right. What do you think?

Sorry should have said it was Fuji 200 print film (Asda's best.)
The T70 is considerably smaller than the T90 and great for walks, but has a little more user input than the (excellent) T50. I love the T90, but like to use it when I can think about things more (I share the same lenses on all three; Canon FD 50mm prime, and Canon 35-70 zoom.)

Thanks. Will try having a play with that one as suggested; always happy to take advice especially as I am making something of a return to this hobby.
B/W interesting thought for the tree. I have some XP2 on the go a the moment, so will see what I can do.

A very quick tweak to crop and staighten as suggested by Pete. I am much happier with it now :)
