Away for a few days in Valletta, I found a part of the town where it feels as though I am living in a creation of M.C. Escher's mind.

Good Stuff! Thank you for sharing. Question, what this pure happenstance or did you see the Escher-esque of the angles and levels and stake the place out waiting for a pedestrian?

Thanks Gary. Good question! I suppose it was more like happenstance. I was walking toward the phone box and hoping for an interesting single subject to cross the nearer bridge, as that was the one where more people happened to be. I spotted the gent here heading alongside the buildings and thought he might add an interesting layer to the background of a closer subject, but then he turned onto that lower bridge and I realised that I had my scene. I wanted the phone box in the foreground of the frame, but I don't think I fully anticipated the impact of the perspective effect that the wide lens would force until the very moment I saw it in the viewfinder. I was on my way to catch a ferry so I couldn't hang around but I returned the next day to explore some other angles of this remarkable spot. I was kept busy for well over an hour! Perhaps I will post some other images to try to illustrate the labyrinthine nature of the place.
