Ha...been there done that. Love the color in the sky.
However...on my screen...which could be just me...there are artifacts (?) around the birds. Maybe caused by downing sizing? I'd love to see the original.

Thanks both. There are no artefacts visible in the LR file nor in the JPEG when viewed in Preview. How odd. I did notice that the foreground had darkened in the first version I uploaded and I changed it for one that was a touch lighter so there are differences in the way these things render.

Are they visible in this crop?

Yes, this is cropped from the full frame and the lines you can see radiate from the setting sun. Here's the full frame - it was cropped to give about a 50mm filed of view as I only had the 35mm with me as I'd gone for a walk with some friends who were staying.

Pete the full frame 35mm is stunning. I do prefer it over the first.
