Critique Welcomed a 'slide' on an unlikely camera

I took this with the Baby Diana 110 on a very hot day in the city. The flaring from the Australian sun is brutal, uncoated lens don't do well with it.
Although in this photo of the slide amongst the trees in the middle of this park, the flaring creates the illusion of a god ray! This is my favorite from the 24 I took that day.

Sorry for the pun, its color negative film, but there is a slide in the picture 😏

(If you want to raise your eyebrows, look at how this camera loads, and how the film cartridge hangs out the back)

What a great first image to post, Charlotte (nice title too!). I love the texture in those leaves and branches, it is almost as if they have been caught swirling due to the passage of the shaft of light / flare (mind I see it more like dust, as in His Dark Materials!). And I also like that it appears to have pressed down on those plants near the slide (or is that a pipe leading from / to a mysterious laboratory?!). I also like the muted colours a lot and square format.

I do like the aesthetic that these ‘toy’ cameras can bring (as it does here). Have you ever seen the work of Susan Burnstine? I can imagine you’d like it.

I had not heard of her, no, that is quite the style... very unique! Thank you for the recommendation.

I appreciate the kind words, square format is my absolute favourite, so its a treat to shoot in a niche format (110), only the only camera with the format. And somehow that dinky little lens creates quite nice images, and somehow there are no lightleaks.

If you want to have some fun, Lomography's cameras can be quite good!
