Thank you Ivar. A fraction of a second in fact, to be precise the leaf opened for 1/250. I wonder if some living creatures find that a long time. It was a snap as in I snapped rather than giving it any thought.

An interesting viewpoint Julian ...1/250 sec will seem long, or short, depending on what one is doing I suppose...I was at the dentist this morning and, although I was there longer than 1/250 sec (6 minutes to be precise) it seemed like an eternity...

Never really minded the dentist, it can be costly though, my phobia is hospitals, where I am not sure time exists.
I agree time is relative and so obviously so.
