Identity parade / Police lineup

I was on my way to work and while parking my bike, I saw these plants [Erigeron canadensis] lined up between the sidewalk and a small wall, backs against the wall like in an 'identity parade' (or 'police lineup'), and I had to snap a photo. Lately, we've seen impressive photos on this forum, but sometimes a small, simple, unpretentious picture is enough to bring a smile, so forgive me for this post.
For the record, I think the tall one is the culprit (it's always the tall one that's the culprit, isn't it?)

I reckon the tall one is covering for the little one escaping up the wall on the right! This appeals to my liking of "man versus nature", the chaotic wonder of Nature's apparent anarchy versus humankind's penchant for regular patterns. The green against the red bricks is great.

OK, you've spotted the little guy who breaks the logic of the photo . And your comment about ‘man versus nature’ deserves consideration. Well said, Ralph.

The photo was heavily edited to achieve some contrast, otherwise it would not have looked like an identity parade. I emphasised the luminance contrast between green and red.

Ok, thank you. In Naples, there's a saying, "Ogni scarafone è bello a mammata soia," which roughly translates to "Every cockroach is beautiful to its mother." It means that we all need validation, to understand what others see in what we ourselves see.

Great title, great picture and the editing is just right I think. I’m glad I came a bit late to this one as the comments and interpretation enhance the enjoyment of it. I wonder if he made it!
