Abandoned II

In many ways the delicate pattern here reflects that seen in the abandoned nest (http://www.realphotographersforum.com/general/12597-abandoned.html). The image is also clearly related to http://www.realphotographersforum.com/general/4795-thousand-small-deaths.html. Not nice but morbidly fascinating.

It's a beautiful abstract, and not for the first time the Leica M fooled me into thinking it was a film image. I love the whole image, Pete. There is poetry in both life and death, but, like with the rainbow, we need to observe it for it to exist.

Thanks Rob. What fascinated most about the 'arrangement' was the circular symmetry. However, when I stopped to think about it I realised that the circular pattern of feathers, clearly not their original arrangement' had been created by the migration of the maggots from the corpse to pupate. They would have moved, at random, away from the remains.

ok, I'm completely creeped out now gents!
