Critique Welcomed Accentuated Shadows

Number 27 again. I didn't intend to do any kind of "study" of 27 but I find I have several images due to my intent to get a picture of the lifeguard aboard. This was one of the first I shot. She then disappeared from view. I shot the other images I posted previously while waiting for her to come into view again. She didn't, however, and I ran out of time since my beloved walking companion was waiting patiently. (2nd fotie.)

Pete liked the shadows in the earlier color fotie, and his comment inspired me to post this one.

SWMBO Patiently Awaits My Return

The shadows and sand detail in the first is amazing, but the second is hilarious, and is my favourite of the two. The arms-akimbo pose, and the fence, are classic. She definitely has that, "How long will he stand there trying to photograph that pretty life-girl?" look about her.

lol. Thanks, Rob! :D

Hands on hips, Brian. You is in BIG trouble! ;)

Love the shadows here again and the life guide and her pose add something extra. The only distraction now for me is the odd angle of the person on the right and my eye is drawn to that side by them and the bollard. In the other version it isn't.

Thanks Pete. I survived relatively unscathed.

Perhaps I'll remove that damn bollard,...and the oddly-angled person too.
