Critique Welcomed Adults...are so boring

Yeah just crop it so the right edge is the same in both shots.

Damn good show Rob ............ Good capture.

Nicely done, Rob. I never noticed the arrow until you mentioned it. Now that you've mentioned it, I can see how it could distract.

Brilliant Rob - I feel sorry for that poor kid!

I think that last edit has hit the nail smack on.
With the kid in the shot looking over being ignored tells it a better story.
Great observation there Rob :)

Great pair of images Rob, great story too and the crop/uncrop is spot on imo. :) hope the course is going well and you are still enjoying :)

I saw these on Flickr & think they're great, Rob. The two images work very well together. Well spotted & captured!

Sorry it has taken me so long to comment on these Rob. A great illustration of the impact of cropping. And what a brilliant example to choose as the primary image is superb. The distance between the young fellow and the adults is just right; you can tell he is with them but is excluded / bored. And the contrast with the gloss of scene / people on the poster is a real bonus. A tiny bit more space above the guy's head would have been nice but it's a great shot anyway.

Thanks, Pete. I've been intending to return to the original and redo the crop for that space above the guy's head. I'll get around to it, as it is an image worth taking time over. Glad you like it!

Rob I am very impressed with your choice of material for this assignment and what more do you need than a picture to tell a story. great work.
