Wow! Strong Dof!
I have a feeling your going to like this lens, Chris?

A different class of graffiti around your way, Chris. Very nice shot, indeed.
Thanks Rob - yes, a better message than 'Life is Shit' which I photographed last year! :D

Thanks Dan, me too :)

Excellent Chris and nice use of the ND.
Thanks Pete - I can see that ND getting some use

Not looked but guessing the upper limit of 1/4000 shutter speed? Hence the ND filter. Nice shot Chris .
Julian, you are spot on - 1/4000 top speed - thank you

Lovely OOF.
Thanks Brian

what about in the artist's head? is there anything in there? great dof and beautiful tones. good old nik?
Thanks Beth - no idea on the artist, but I was impressed they could spell vacuum! - Old Nik strikes again, well spotted.

Chris. the first OM-D has an upper 1/4000 shutter speed. The later OM-D E-M1 has 1/8000. Is this due to cost cutting, shutter life, or market positioning? As these companies have F1.8 lens and in the case of Fuji f1.2. It does restrict the use of a plain lens outside. Originally the Olympus only had a low 200iso until a firm ware update which made it even more imperative to use ND filters.
Just wondering the main reason behind this?.

Not sure what limits the shutter speed on the X series - the in-lens leaf shutter on the X100 and X100s is 1/8000, but the in body shutter on the rest of the range is 1/4000

Must be a technical limitation or maybe technical & size?

Anyone know?

The limitation if one was overcome from the E-M5 to the E-M1 so it is possible I guess. I wonder if it simply costs more, better materials for wear. Whatever I do miss not being able to go over 1/400o in the E-M5. At least it allows me to shoot shoot though and it is not always completely blown out.
