An Impossible Delivery

I brought a few boxes of Impossible B&W film for the SX-70 over to Potsdam this time but did not bring the camera. This was actually deliberate as I'd decided to buy a second one to keep here from Ebay. However, it soon became apparent that there are not as many for sale as I thought and many of those looked pretty tatty. One seller was offering a camera, some Impossible film and the protective ND shade as kits, but they were pricey. I then remembered that I had seen refurbished cameras on the Impossible website (https://www.the-impossible-project.com). I found they were offering similar kits but with refurbished and guaranteed cameras for less than the person on eBay and so I ordered a black SX-70. Today it arrived, nicely packed and ready to go!

Excellent, Pete. Finished my SX-70 film last week. You've reminded me I must get some more. (Is the frog tongue still needed for the latest B&W film?)

I thought I read on their website that their latest B&W doesn't need the cover, but I wouldn't swear to that. If I were you Pete I'd install the frog tongue and allow it to cover even the color frames, since I am unconvinced that the color film isn't affected by the immediate splash of light upon ejection.

Today I was looking at my fuji Instax prints, and put a couple on the fridge door. They look beautiful. Looking forward to what you come up with, Pete.

You'll see when Pete posts his pictures Rob, that the Impossible Film and the Fuji Instax film give two very different looks.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with it Pete
