I've been to Krakow. Played a concert, in fact. It was a tour of Poland with a singer, doing 16th-century lute songs and solos. We played five places, though I can't recall all the names. It was at an invitation by the British Ambassador, who was permanently drunk. The last night we played, there was a big open-air concert in the centre of Krakow, and he had all our payment in cash in his jacket pocket. And, he was so drunk he left his jacket on the ground. The next day we were looking frantically for him, but had to leave for the airport. We were literally checking in when he arrived breathless, complete with all our money - it had been exactly where he had left it.

Oh, and he was from Edinburgh :rolleyes:
