For a moment there I thought that was an orifice! Nice interpretation Kev. And a fine shot too. Did you get the Fuji sorted?

The X10 is packed up ready to go, ihad printing issues so couldn't print the fuji bar coded label, they do a free estimate service but if it needs a new lens it'll be top side of £300 + obviously it'll become a paper weight if its anywhere near that.....off to the post office tomorrow

Good idea Kev but i would like to have seen more focus on the flow of the water inside the pipe. Still like it though.

Thanks Tom but its more about the hole than whats coming through it for me....interpretarion of themes can often be lost in composition and focus, DoF and tone, for me on this theme its more about observation, finding subjects and recording them from places that you may not expect to find them, whilst this shot doesn't pictorially describe that, for a local group the verbal narrative will give a location that will be known to them.
if it had been just a titled shot I would agree wholeheartedly that more emphasis on the flow would add to the image, great feedback, thanks

Interesting Kev. I am unsure how interesting the aperture would be it without the water coming through. As critique was requested, my comment was based on the final image only.. As they say, beauty is in the eye ....etc

And accepted Tom I assure you else I wouldn't have posted under the title.....I'm always open...not sure about the beauty bit though, its a hole
