Critique Welcomed April 29th

Love the flower shots. It's interesting how similar they are to the flowers in this area. The photo(s) you posted of the flowers growing on the mounds were very like what we call knotweed. Really like all of these, including the b&w.

Thank you John, in Norwegian the flowers are named "hvitveis" pronounced as witways in English.:D

We have Wood Anemone here in Michigan. The flowers I referred to in my comment are the ones in this photo by Ivar. They are similar to what is called Knotweed or Smartweed locally.

Yep wood Anemone here in Cornwall. Had a veg garden inhabited by them once and they were a pain to get rid of and needed to dig each corn out by hand.

The first B+W is my favorite Ivar a fine photo

Or Wood Anemone in English. Very nice.
Thank you Pete, but what would you call the identical one in blue? And opposite to Julian, we let these beautiful flowers which are a true and visible sign of spring, we let them be as they wither and die after a few weeks here anyway:D

Well, there are times I do not understand them Yankees! You say that you have Wood Anemone, but the ones similar to mine are what you call Knotweed! Then I would like to see your kind of Wood Anemone please. Very confusing to me, but I left my specs somewhere. Where the heck did they go?

I was remarking on the similarity of some of the flowers here in Michigan to the ones in the photos you have posted. We have some flowers that look very like the ones you posted in this thread and we also have some that are similar to the ones in a photo you posted a while ago. That earlier photo was of a mound of rocks on a rocky beach in Norway. You said they were Viking graves. The photo I posted in the comment above is the one you posted. The flowers in that photo, not in the one you posted at the beginning of this comment, are the ones we call Knotweed. Two different kinds of Norwegian flowers and both have a counterpart here.

I finally got it John. My apologies for being so slow, but how on earth was I to know that you referred to the flowers on the graves of the Vikings. Maybe you have some vikings buried by you as well, but did not have enough stones:D From a notwit to another:rolleyes:
