SWMBO would have gone bananas if she saw me lifting my camera to take this shot as I cruised past. As to the guy in the boat,...he fled the scene I guess.
Everyone was OK following this incident, Glenn. The windshield of the Volvo is smashed up, but I'm quite sure that is due to the passenger-side airbag having deployed,...which means there were at least two people in the Volvo at the time of the collision. Volvos have long had a reputation for passenger safety. Its good to know it held true in your case as well. Thanks for the comments, Glenn.
Thank you, Chris. I appreciate your comment about the comp, but it was a bit lucky. As I was approaching the scene in my car I got ready to snap a fotie in passing with my Canon F1. I adjusted for the aperture and exposure I wanted and also set the focus at an approximated distance (since I would be unable to sight the image through the viewfinder and focus it up). So I'm all ready and when I get to the optimum position I raised the camera and fired--a blank! Drat! I had forgot to wind the film on! [doh] I believe uttered an expletive--but no one was there to hear it so did it really happen?--and cranked the film advance. I took the image you see while shooting indiscriminately over my shoulder in some frustration.
Don't you just get annoyed with people who slow down to rubber neck at car crashes.
Another great idea for a project Brian and a wonderful beginning (I guess this is the first I have been away and just not prepared to look at 800 posts).

Thanks for the comments Paul. This is indeed a new project, albeit a casual one--it won't be too academic like my Bungalow Series . And this is the first post so you haven't missed anything. Thanks again, Paul!
