Encinitas Classic Car Night

X-Pro1 and 35mm Lens f/1.4

Oh, I'd love to have that car. Beautifully chunky. Great photo too - all the eye movement, and the weird posture of the guy on the left. Nice moment, Chris.

Oh my God, I just love the burble of nice huge American V8 motor. I almost bought a rather mint ZR-1 once but backed out at the last minute. The damn thing was only eight grand.

Thanks Rob - I do love a nice chunky grill myself :)

Great shot Chris. And whut a motor!

Thanks Brian - the cars were the stars - so many to see - I'll post some more

Excellent as always Chris. Like Rob, I like the guy on the left too and the way his 'pose' matches the car in some ways. And the way those reflections in the bonnet disappear to nothing is fascinating. And, what a motor! :)

Thanks Pete - the reflections are brilliant aren't they - like a circus mirror

Yep nice capture Chris, good social documentary, guy dominant in this one.

Thanks Julian - as we walked towards them the shot crystalized with the couple on the right - then the guy on the left dropped-in at he last second

Shaun - you'd be in heaven at an event like this then - their air was thick with V8s! :D

Beautiful tones and moment, Chris. People paying respect to a TANK. This can ruin a nowadays truck.

Thank Nihat - I used a profile for Fuji Neopan 100 in my post processing, as I've always enjoyed this film, and the profile does echo the look I think.

the stripes on the grill match the stripes on her dress perfectly.

Well spotted Beth - I hadn't made the connection, but now you mention it
