I do rather like that Davie - very nice - I quite like a good pano myself! ;)

Very nice range of cool tones in this image.

Is it a single frame crop or a stitched pano?

it was stitched Chris from about 15 pictures :)

That is nice!
15 pictures! That's a lot?
Why so many? I don't know anything about panoramic stitching! I suppose it's better to use a longer lens for quality???

7am eh? Been a long time since I state up that late, and icertainly wasn't working!

I have heard that yeah, that it's better to use a long lens and it's such a big area to get that's why there was so many pictures involved. I did add a blue tint in pp to create the mood.

actually now i think about it i got what i think was a cracking sunset on my way out of Auchmithie that i'll post in a minute.

The 7am thing lol I was Dj'ing at an allnighter in Edinburgh ... I was running the Rhythm & Blues room so i started the niht at 10pm and finished it from 6-7am :) the drive back to Dundee was a nightmare

I guess there is less possibility for distortion in a longer lens too!
I really dont know anything about this sort of thing, but i suppose if you really go into it, you could find the optimal focal length of your lens where it displayed the least distortion and use it at that?
Do you use any sort of pano tripod head?

Not at all, I literally stood at the top of the cliff and pivoted at the hips
