I love that there are so many exotic animals running (and flying) around. Even in the center of Sydney, you're more likely to see a cockatoo or a parrot (or a bat) flying through the city than a pigeon. And I almost hit a Kangaroo driving through the countryside. They're everywhere! Anyway, here's a sample:
These bats are a regular site in the trees of the botanic garden, downtown Sydney.
A sulphur-crested cockatoo perched on a fountain across the street from the house we had rented in the middle of the city.
An emu who followed us around on Kangaroo Island
My daughter feeding a bushy-tailed possum at an animal rescue center on Kangaroo Island
Koalas are everywhere... Just look up whenever you're in a grove of Eucalyptus trees
My wife and daughter feeding a Kangaroo at the animal rescue center...
On Kangaroo Island (appropriate name)
