Leica M Monochrom + Zeiss Distagon M 18mm f1:4 + B+W 090 (light red) filter. ISO 320, 1/500s at f1:5.6. PP in LR and Nik SilverFX Pro 2.

Beautifully composed and shot as per usual Pete, such awesome sky :D

I have also noticed that the image could also be cropped square :D

Brilliant image, Pete. The first rock has so much telling to the rest of a perfect composition. :)
I see you got yourself a Leica M Monochrom. Having seen some other images, I thought M Monochrom has the closer feel to film B+W. How do you like it? What's your assessment on Zeiss vs Leica lenses?

Thanks Nihat. Yes, I've had the Monochrom a while now. It is very, very film like but utterly unforgiving on highlights. Files are fairly flat out of the camera but that is a good thing. They work up very nicely in SilverFX. The Zeiss lenses have a distinctly different look to the Leica glass. Not quite as well corrected for geometry and maybe slightly higher in contrast.

Nice! We must of past each other today.
I was meaning to pop here today, but the usual story of my life these days is, kids got grumpy, tired, and wanted to go home :(

lovely use of the wide lens Pete - and the red filter

Would love to see the color version ;)

Wonderful monochrome Pete well composed and delightful tones throughout.
