Inside the Botanical Building

Blimey, those flowers grew quickly in the second shot!! ;)

These are great Chris and what an interesting place. The sculptures are wonderful and I like the 'Aquarius' statue. And the shot of the inside of the conservatory is very, very nice. Love the con-trails )reminds me of something from 'Vermillion Sands' by JG Ballard!). Again I have this urge to push the clarity slider up a bit even though the contrast overall is very good.

Thanks guys :)

The park is an amazing place - originally built to handle the first World's Fair: The 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition.

The buildings have also been used in movies, including Citizen Kane - Orson Wells 1941

The conservatory shots came out really nicely Pete - lots of tricky lighting and detail, but they just came out looking very dimensional I think. I could spend a few hours in there with the macro, but yesterday was an 18mm workout day, so I resisted the temptation.

Paul - how did you guess! ;)

Agreed Hamish - very dimensional, if that's a suitable word.
