Bath Christmas market

Went down to the Bath Christmas Fair last week and finally got a chance to process the results..or at least some of them. I may have to go back at some point, since what I thought was going to be my favourite shot didn't work and I want to try again.

Enjoy...:)

These were difficult to get a decent photo of... they were light enough to move in the breeze hence the blur...hope they have some left if I get back there...

I love the baubles shot #4, and the star lights cop shot - go wide! :D

Wonderful color in these, Adrian. The first one, the vases, is really nicely composed in my opinion. I like the one of the man in theb stars too. And the gold baubles as well. All very nice!

Thanks for the comments, guys...

This was a very busy market and you couldn't always get a clear shot of the stalls as a whole, so it was a case of picking out the details.
I've also got some shots of the stanger people that were around to post later...

nice colourful set here Adrian, great place to get the camera out at aint they. Problem i find is that the crowds of shopper get in my way haha

There are times when I wish someone would invent an in-camera radar that lets you know when someone is about to walk in front of you....:)

A long lens helped but I could have done with a faster one....

Adrian, I've looked at these about 5 times now needed to before I made a comment, I like them all but the first is the one I keep coming back to, just worked out why, it's not because it is better than the rest, or the less appealing its simply because you have put a border round it, amazing really to think that can make a difference but for me it does....

They are all good though, and taking the bordered one out I like the Ballballs even with the motion blur ;)

Thanks Kev,

I'm trying to remember what prompted me to apply a border to that one.
I quite often do for B&W, I did read somewhere that it can help with monochrome images...I think I was just not satisfied with that first pic and tried various things looking for what would round it off.

Glad you enjoyed them..

Very Nice set Ade, Looks like you really thought about what was in the frame before you pressed that shutter. good on ya dude! :)
