Behind the Church

Went for a wander late this afternoon down to the church and river. Here's a shot of the old tool shed behind the church in Greywell.

Leica M9 + 35 1/1.4, 1/60 f1/4.0, ISO 160. PP as for the old barn shots.

this is really nice! the colouring is great and suits it well. Nice soft lighting too....another one for the wall!

great idea, imagine the perspective shots you could get!

Pete,
You really know how put together outstanding compositions. Another good one here!

Very nice feel pete - almost timeless

Thats nice Pete I presumed you used NIK to do that colour cast? Did you also dodge each plank to get that texture to come out?

However it could be differences in monitors but I feel that the wheelbarrow blends in to the background a bit loosing a bit of pictorial depth. Could it be dodged a little to bring it out?

Thanks Paul. Yes, Nik SilverFX Pro 2 using a modified tin-type simulation. The planks etc are as is and reflect the lighting and their existing texture. I lifted the tones on the wheel barrow already to help separate them from the shadows on that side. It loses a bit of separation in the JPEG and I will wait to see what it is like printed but I may, as you suggest, have to lift it a touch more to not lose the wheel etc. Based on the prints of the old barns though I suspect that it will be fine.

I know that you mean Paul and I'll wait until I'm back in Potsdam as the system there is fully calibrated from input to output. My main laptop is pretty good though and is also calibrated as are the monitors at home and work but the acid-test is the system in the studio where it will be printed.

Very very nice this one pete, your work is very unique!! I love the textures. Great stuff
