Silhouetted against a cloudy evening sky Broadway Tower stands looking out over the horizon to the view of the Vale of Evesham.

Taken from Buckle Street the Tower was designed by James Wyatt and built for Lady Coventry in 1799, It has been used as the home of a Printing Press for Sir Thomas Phillipps and also a retreat for the Artist William Morris in the 1880's

Good to see a post from you Kev.
Great shot that is. :)

There I was thinking I ought to post more than just "wow" - may as well start with you Kev. :)

I like the aspect ratio and the depth of the sihouette at the bottom. The tower could be seen as being too central, but as the lighting either side is uneven I don't think it matters. I really love the way you have let the right hand side almost disappear, but not quite. The balance of cloud and blue sky is perfect and the lines of the blue are aesthetically satisfying. The edges of the clouds have an almost cotton wool look, really fluffy and light. I also like the way you haven't been tempted to boost the colour - it's perfect as it is.

Have I said enough?

Thanks All, it is nice to be back :)

Thanks for the comments and Lesley nice critique :)

There is a reason for the tower being spot on middle Lesley, I didn't want detritus that was modern build shed in shot and the cloud formations on the left were practically non existent and to place the tower left of frame would have left a great black cloud to the right..sometimes nature just doesn't play the game for us :D

I had intended to stay out until after dark as the sky was forecast to be clear and this I think would be a great opportunity but sadly my current situation forced me home early...I'll have to wait for another opportunity for the shot I wanted...:)

Great moody sky, and I love the way the clouds point towards the tower
