Boats And Stuff

I like the first one the most with the boats lined up. It's always hard and some like the mother, some the daughter and then some both.

Of the digital shots, I like the first most although the 'solarised' artefacts on the left are a bit distracting. My favourite is the last though. I like the grain but I also like the relationship between the tripod and the masts in the background.

Composition wise I like both. Personally, I am not too sure about the processing; not really my cup of tea Rob and I feel the compositions are strong enough to stand on their own two feet without much of anything else. Also I think we have lost a lot of the pictures because so much is in shadow. Maybe a bit less is more.
I like the tripod shot for the reason Peter mentioned but I honestly think the heavy grain looks a bit too much like applied digital noise. Blimey, I'm being a right b*****d here. Must be the 18 years of the nuns and christian brothers.

Don't worry, Tom, as I entirely agree with you. Some things I do work, while some miss the mark by a mile. But I reserve the right to try ;)
