That is not a botanical phone! It's a cactus, and you should be very careful handling it! Don't bring it too close to your ears, it'll hurt you.

Which I found out myself, with a similar one in our window. Not that I mistook it for a phone - trained botanist, you know - but last week I bowed my arm too far over the sofa, and it attacked me.

I like the photos, Rob. Botanical garden? If Edinburgh has one, probably I can visit it coming summer. I will go visit my sister in Oban in June/July for summer holidays, and Edinburgh is scheduled.....
