Heading home a couple of evenings ago and saw the abandoned croft at Braeside, Lumsden catching the late afternoon sun...

Douglas when I opened the page the sky appeared along with the hill. I thought this is superb thinking that was it, then came the valley and the fields and the trees and it became something else and blew me away. Love those patterns and the light. An excellent image.

i had the same thought, nice view of a hill and sky, not exactly attention grabbing at first. then i scrolled down some more and saw the trees and the rest of the proportions fell into place. holy crap that's a big hill. great shot, loved the surprise ending.

The lunar-like backdrop is amazing; something ominous about it. The lens has done it's stuff again.

It's a great place Rob...been here since 1993, can't see us returning to Fife...our house is also at the foot of this hill range, and about a 45 minute stroll from the croft in the image.
