About 8 am last Aug 19th on the Avenue de la Grande Armee, Paris.

Superheadz Blue Ribbon toy camera and Kodak Gold 800 film.

I cropped it square because the fairing of a motorcycle was annoyingly present in the right corner of the original fotie.

Wow I've been there!!! Love the shot Brian. I haven't been back to Paris in years. I used to go a good bit when I lived in Boston. This one made my day. I can never get those shots like that into the sun. Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I could drive up to Paris, Texas.............

Motorcycle? Lucky it wasn't a white van. I've lost count of the number of potential shots ruined by the positioning of a white van right in front.

I like sun shots, Brian, and this be a good un.

Have you been to this very spot, Steve? To my right there is bakery. The "Boulangere Patissiere" it says on the wall. The baked goods are stunning! (The family were shopping in there while I was outside taking foties.) I'm sure Paris TX has great bakeries, too, though! :)

Thanks Rob. The trees made for a nice sun filter.

Pete liking a 1:1 shot - who'd have guessed! :D

I can smell the pastries and French cigarettes Brian ;)

A pastry shop in Paris, France!?! ...that makes and sells good pastries?!? ...imagine THAT! Actually, I think there may be two or three in Paris that are pretty good. But it's OK, because Brian told us the name. It's the one that says "Boulangere Patissiere" on the sign! :p
(apologize for the trolling... i couldn't help myself)

Yes, Darren. A pastry shop! And a good one at that! Amazing, eh? ;)

I sense I have made some kind of linguistic faux pas. :o

Love the shot Brian and enjoyed a glass or two with my lunch in there a few years back, this shot brought back some happy memories for me and renewed a few dreams, Thanks, one of the things I like about Paris is how the sun breaks through the many trees especially around the L'Arc area...:)

No linguistic faux pas, Brian. I'm just teasing you a bit because they're so well known in that country for their pastries. ;)

As far as "Boulangère / Patissière", that just means "Baker / Pastry chef", so it may be hard to use as a way of finding the place! It would stand to reason that nearly every single bakery or pastry shop in France would have a sign out front that says that!

that just means "Baker / Pastry chef",
And that is a title he or she can most certainly lay claim to!

This one is prominant, Darren, and inhabits the intersection the Avenue de la Grande Armee and Place du General Patton. I'll post a picture later!

Yeah, I figured! Look forward to seeing the photo! My wife is from the Left Bank (south east), so the exact opposite side of the city from here. I used to live there, as well. I've been by this neighborhood on occasion, but haven't spent much time in this part of the city so don't know the cafe well. But I'm familiar with the street. Glad you had a good time!
