Break in the weather

It's been a gloomy few days here in California, no blue skies since sometime last week!

Finally, the clouds parted a little today, and we had some patchy sunshine with lovely textured clouds - before the next storm comes in on Wednesday.

Yeah, a bit of unexpected sunshine! I wondered where this was. You sure spend a lot of time up in LA. Thanks for all these examples with the 18mm. Great shots.

Thanks!

Work is nuts at the moment - seem to be in LA 3-4 times a week :(

Lovely sky ij this one, Chris. Also that lighthouse-like building sure is crisp. You can see the waves in the stucco. Very nice.

it still amazes me the depth you achieve in B&W .... please though tell me that building in the forefront wasn't a burnt red colour

Thanks Davie - Indeed it was a red building!

Thanks guys - the depth dimension from the X-Pro1 is very very good - quite something in fact

Sharpness does not seem to be an issue with any of the the lenses.

I bet it'd look fabulous in colour ... like one of those east coast photos, if you know what i mean

Shot was done in Fuji 'Velvia'.

brilliant, i'm seeing LL Bean Duckboots, stripe t-shirt and neckerchief :) i have to say despite the love of your B&W work I prefer the colour of this one
