Thank you, Pete. I am not quite sure but my guess is that the palatial home was built for a local industry executive. Other homes on that same street, which leads to a pretty greenbelt area, are large and attractive, too. Since I started this little project I've since discovered that Torrance was concieved as a kind of model city designed to showcase how industry and residential can co-exist harmoniously side by side. I need to do more reading on this but that is my fundemental understanding.

Thanks again, Pete!

Another fine set, this is going to make an interesting completed project Brian, any joy with getting interest from the local community?

Thanks, Kev. No. I've done some initial looking at the local historical society website but that's as far as I've gone. I need to learn a wee bit more about the history of the area so I can approach them with a slant f some kind.

Thanks again, Kev.

Good luck with it, Oh btw did you know why they call them Bungalows??????

A builder was building a house and ran out of bricks after building up to just above the door, it was Friday afternoon and he knew that he wouldn't be able to get a delivery until after the weekend so he told his crew to Bung a low roof on it and the name stuck [doh][banghead][doh]
