Nice idea. He looks a tad uncomfortable in the first shot but the second works very well I think.

It was not bad at all. The only thing that was burning was a dab of rubber cement

THats really black smoke! Im not sure which I prefer really ... the pose id def better in the second but I like it all in focus I think!
THe contrast is a little "hard" looking ... If you follow? I guess it is intentional?

Yea the rubber cement burns with a really dark smoke
The selective focus is intentional as is the hard contrast
