Buxton today

Good subject here Dave i also saw these on Flickr earlier, just not sure about 2,4,5 they seem very blurry . out of focus to me. Do you have any idea why this may be??

Shot 3 is my pick of the bunch not sure what's happening, is the lady a carol singer or simmilar ?? I like the olde worlde outfit & vintage feel to the shot.

No 1 is a nice shot also just a shame about the BIG red arm that got in the way.

Looks like your getting addicted to this street photography also :-)

Bloody hell Dave - 30X!!!!

That's one hell of a zoom you have there - I typically max out at x12, and that's when I'm shooting surfing or motorsports.

Must come in mighty handy - you do any private eye work in your spare time? :D

Really like the Victorian lady shot - nice PP as well - was it a Chrimble concert or something?

i never realised they was at 750mm GULP lol............does cam have IS ? How about tripod?

Would love to see a sample shot of 750mm with camera mounted on tripod or stable surface. Curious as to quality at the extreme focal length more than anything.

Almost 750 lol the actual spec is ngth

f=4.3mm - 129.0mm, equivalent to 24 - 720mm on a 35 mm camera
best way to really show the amount of zoom is and these were taken the day I got the camera

I did after someone asked me once look at the amount of zoom available if you were to use digital as well that then goes to 210x zoom (I Might try it on a moon shot sometime)

Dave - that zoom is just crazy!

Great way to illustrate it.

I was going to get the S3200 which is only 24X zoom but the lcd screen at the back on the 4080 (or 4000) is twice the resolution and for £10 more it was worth going for the better zoom yes it has twin IS Darren but I only ever have it set to single as the screen at the back slow's down when its on twin IS

Thanks Chris It's the only way really to show the zoom capability they were only ever taken as test shots but someone asked the question about the zoom on Flickr otherwise they would likely have been deleted

nice sample pics showing that crazy focal length. So what camera are you using Dave. I am buying my nephew a Fuji bridge camera for xmas and am thinking the Fujifilm s3300

I'm using the S4080 only available at jessops its the same as the S4000 but cheaper as its an exclusive. Having read the Fuji forums the S3200 3300 3400 have a habit of the EVF going dead OK you can still use the rear screen but its a fault the s4000 family uses a different EVF (twice the resolution) S4000 is available on amazon now for not a lot more than the S3200

cheers for that very helpful info dave...........just found it on Amazon for £10 more as you say, will defo get this ordered

Thanks

Daz
