camellia and cherry blossom

The bud in the first pulls my eyes to it immediately. It is clear what the photo is of straight away (which I like). The second pulls me back to my childhood and the stacks of "Love Albums" that my parents used to buy from Readers Digest, I can hear the Carpenters in my mind right now, and whats this? Birds have suddenly appeared!

Now these are nice Beth (aside from the bizarre imagery that Paul's contribution has seeded in my mind!) and I especially like the Camelia - very restrained. The blossom works well too with the shallow DoF - very Japanese!

And where di those bloody birds come from all of a sudden - damn you Lange!

Particularly like the muted tones on the first shot Beth - very effective and lovely bokeh

Cheater! :D
