Camera For A Mate In The States

I have a good mate who lives in Denver, he is looking for a camera for $200 or less for his missis. If he was in the uk I'd probably be able to find him a good deal on something pretty decent... But I don't know where to start when it comes to shopping over the pond.
Any one got any recommended shops? Or know of any good deals on gear going for less than it should/used to in theta price bracket?

Hamish - new kit you should look at B&H or Adorama (Both in NY) - usually the best prices - although Amazon.com is also hard to beat

For used kit I usually go to KEH first - they accurately describe their used kit so you can buy with confidence

chris hit the big ones. there's a midwest photo exchange a little bit closer to denver (still a few states away i think), but i've heard mixed reviews of their service. haven't used them personally.
