Taken from the drive through lane of the local McDonalds!!!

The windmill used to be the symbol of a famous restaurant chain (Pea Soup Andersen's), but it's changed hands and is now part of a TGI Friday's.

Just at the bottom of the Flower Fields, near LegoLand - the only clean shot I could get was with the 300mm, from the end of the drive through...

I set up the tripod and everything - just expected people to drive around me

I think you managed to find the only good angle to shoot this. Seems like everything else would include a motel, parking lot, gas station, etc. Here, it almost looks like it's out in the countryside.

Indeed - you'd never know that there were 8 lanes of I 5 between the camera and the windmill!
