Caudwell's Mill

Lesley Jones

Otherwise know as Zooey
Having just confirmed with Pete that the lighting is tungsten, this image appears to have gremlins. I processed it in a similar way to Graded Grains, but because of a wooden post in the way I needed to shave a tiny bit off one side. I'm used to filters dropping off after a trim, but the tungsten/daylight conversion won't come back.

I was thinking of converting it anyway. I used to use Silver Efex all the time, but I've been doing almost exclusively colour of late. I love colour, but sometimes it feels too "girly". I fancied a change :)

I was going to suggest B&W for the graded grains shot Lesley - and this one really works

The lighting and the subject matter really lend themselves to B&W , and you don;t have to worry about color balanced lighting! ;)

Its a great shot. I don't know any of the programs you're talking about Lesley, but whatever you've done to it works for me.

Hmm X and Y

there are letters in your photos today Lesley ... Maybe it's just Sunday morning :)

Black and white works very well for me!!
