A bit of local history ...
The small town of Oviedo, FL (where I live) was a citrus producing hub in the 19th century. One of the major companies was founded by 2 Swedish brothers, Gus & Steen Nelson. After a couple of hard freezes decimated the citrus industry, they diversified into celery. The area (Seminole County) became one of the major celery producers in the country. When I moved here 30 years ago, celery was still being grown commercially (since discontinued) a couple miles from my house.
This water tower was erected by the Nelson produce company and still stands in downtown Oviedo as a local landmark. Of course it has been hijacked as a stealth cell phone tower I believe it was built in 1915.
