Chanteuse

That's a little beauty of a portrait Rob and if I was her I would be very happy to have a copy of it. A non-distracting background that gives a nice idea of the immediate environment. You captured a lovely expression. Looks like a photograph that, perhaps, you had asked permission to take and she responded with that perfect smile. One of the most enjoyable portraits.
Finding it hard to get my head around the massive white canvas extension though, where I feel the text is overwhelmed by it.;)

Thanks, Tom. I gave her a pound, then signalled I'd like to take a photo (I don't think she understood English) and she beamed :) It struck me also that she might appreciate a copy, so I'll nip along to Boots tomorrow. Hopefully she'll be around. I have seen her a couple of times in the past.

Sorry about the excessive border. Because it was a square crop, I made it smaller than my usual landscape size. But I forgot I'd done that when I added the usual two inches of white. Somehow I just kept going! I'll make her a proper version!

Her playing is very good, and she looks so incongruous next to bagpipers and tribal drummers...
