Long time without posting here - I've been preoccupied with other things and the photography has taken a back seat. Only 500 unread posts!

We were lucky enough to spend a couple of nights at this amazing, luxurious hotel in the New Forest this week.

Took a few shots of the hotel and also the walk from there down to the beach at Chewton Bunny.

Looks like a wonderful place - was it really called Chewton Bunny, or are you having a laugh?

Shame about the barriers and red/white tape in #2. They are having some work done.

That must be Highcliffe beach then?? ... I know the area very well, my nan lived in Barton on Sea! ...

I'm not certain what that stretch of beach is called. Chewton Bunny is the short river gorge which comes out at the beach, Google maps tells me that Highcliffe is east from there but my photos look west, towards Barton and Milford.

ah yes Milford it must be then ... the cliffs get steeper from highcliffe along through Barton and then get shallower down along to milford

if you look on here you can see where the cliffs are steeper where the groins are

you must have been just past them shooting toward milford then id guess?

i love it down there ... one of my favourite places on earth!

its pretty posh mate ... "the beckhams" had there wedding reception there i think!

Yes, very high end indeed. We left somewhat poorer for the experience, but as an occasional treat it was worth it.
