Coffee

Thank you, Pete! Yes, I think I did.... Probably you remember that poster with that face in the background. But I can't remember I posted this particular one.... But then: I have the gift of forgetting....

Ah, it's a poster in the background. I thought it was a guy with a very large head! I was confused for a minute.

Looks like a nice cafe. All cafe photos should be in b&w. It's the Law.

Coffee? I see a lot of bottles of alcohol on those shelves. Nice shot. I agree with Rob. There should be a law that all cafes, pubs, bars, and nightclubs are strictly done in b&w.

I shall firstly comment on the image which is very good but not as light as I wanted it. ( It could be my monitor ). I know that the highlights shall be blown out by making it lighter unless you dodge and burn as we used to do in our darkrooms. Yes I have done that for years on end, and that is the reason for why my brain is almost as confused as Rob's and to a degree John here, but not quite  Black and white is great, and especially here, but not always in bars, pubs or cafés.:D I see the world in colours and " some times I see ruins and they are most suitable in black and white.":(

So Rob and I are "ruins?"

The image is quite dark on my monitor also. I don't think it is too dark. Like most of Rense's photographs, it is exposed for the highlights. That makes the shadows a bit dense, but it also means no blown highlights. I think of it as his style.
