Connie getting to grips with crawling

Go on Connie!!!
Great shots H, looks like she's enjoying it. :)

She is getting a bit impatient with her self I think...
seems to get stressed at the fact that she can only really go backwards effectively

Nothing wrong with arriving butt first! :D

Lovely shots Hamish, especially like the close-up #1, and the heads-up and narrow DOF in #2

I don't think she even knows she is going backwards ... Poor thing gets very confused!

Cheers Chris
The AF is def better in v1.2 I'm. It sure I'd have got these with the x100 a few weeks back

My older one, Caiti (now 20), was a tyrant at that age. But when she got able to crawl and move about on her own she metamorphosed into a human being, which she has thankfully remained.

Excellent photos Hamish, the second is my favorite,

I agree Paul although I sometimes wonder about babies photo's if they are better done by the family!! My brother in law had a "professional" portrait taken at the hospital the photo he has on the wall on a canvas is one of mine taken the next day at home as the "professional" one cuts bits off Dominics head and my sis in law said it was like production line photography when it was done. And yes Hamish 11 more weeks and there might be a few other baby photo's here!!!

Traditional pro childerens portraits are exactly that ... Traditional - longer lens, probably sat on a fur blanket (or similar) etc ...
They are just a bit samey, I prefer something that captures a bit of life ... A wider angle tends to do that! People complain about distortion of fetures etc, but that only really happens if you try and fill the frame with the face, and it doesn't always matter anyway!
