Cotswolds trip in the October sunshine

By pure fluke I had two days off work yesterday and today, and we'd booked an overnight stay in the Cotswolds.

The weather was fantastic, a cloudless sky and shirtsleeves warm.

Today we visited a place called Painswick Rococo Garden, and I took some shots:

Given the ultra-bright light but with the sun low in the sky, there were huge contrasts between the light levels in shade and in sunshine.

The first two shots needed loads of Adjustment brush work in LR to avoid either a dark foreground or blown out background, and use of the recovery and fill light sliders. I knew the first shot was the best even before I took it.

Tim - looks a very photogenic place

I love #3 - very evocative shot
