It was Connie's 1st birthday today...
last night we had a bbq at her g'rents, so today we stayed in and had a quiet day ... took a few snaps of her enjoying her dinner and being a danger baby

Considering the epson is about 8 years old it takes such lovely photos I think

I was just going to say has it been a year already, bloody hell. No one for me I think and the RD1 does seem to handle wide dynamic ranges really smoothly.

yeah nothing wrong with old cameras Lesley ... Especially when they have **** hit lenses stuck to the front

My problems get worse every day Beth ... Her latest trick is sneaking uup the stairs ...

I think it's the lens Paul ... It does have a lovely feel to its response!
Its a 35mm voitlander 1.4 ... It's only down fall is its slightly "nervous" (as matey on photozone would call it) bokeh - if ou look at the shelf above her head in the first one you can see it at its worst ... Thing is, I wonder if this is infact what mmakes it look so nice elsewhere ...???

Im thinking about getting the voitlander 40mm f2 slii for the d800 ... It seems to produce similar results ... And is extremely sharp ...

A truly lovely series Hamish and the in-focus stuff is lovely and smooth. The first one is just perfect. I see what you mean about some of the OOF elements but they don't leap to the eye I don't think. It does have a distinctive look to it doesn't it and not too dissimilar to the M8/9 I think.
