Rob the first image is odd by way of what is hanging from the ceiling. I don't really understand it as a decor?

Me neither. I don't like it. But they get grants to "increase accessibility" and they have to spend it on something!

I'm impressed the sensor could pick up detail underneath the 'thing', as there was so much light bearing down from above.

The "thing" hanging from the ceiling is most likely a glass sculpture by the American artist, Dale Chihuly. Not really my thing, either, but he's quite popular in these parts.

Indeed - I've seen similar glass sculptures over here - but saw this one in London first - it's very 'striking'.

Grat angle Ron, and love the saturated colors and the glow behind the sculpture - it really makes it stand out.
