You should have gone round the corner to Carmichael's Hamish would have got some big trucks in too........Even in Lower Wick there is something to look at

Go B&W increase contrast bring out sky and clouds.

Also,might try ,in your next walk to zoom in on details rather than the whole scene.

I thought about it John, but in the end just went for a simple approach ... (a bit of that sort of thing on my website if that's what you like?)
re. Details, yeah, sometimes ... I often prefer the big picture

I like the tones here. That and the composition suits the subject well I think. I especially like the mixture of reflections in the second shot. Is that a hot air balloon I can see?
