Lovely shots Hamish - she's quite the Gerber baby

Love the way you've shot into the light on #2 - gives a lovely dreamy look

Side lighting is a little overpowering in #1, maybe a little lift around the eyes to balance it out?

She's getting big fast! Very cute kid. I'd suggest perhaps a closer crop on #2, and perhaps a slightly darker exposure. But Chris likes the light on that one, so what do I know

Wonderful photographs and I'm glad you converted them to black and white. I agree with Chris about the first one, the shadows under her hairline, under her eyes and around her nose are rather unflattering for a young lady. I love the light on the second one and yes, I think a slightly tighter crop would work as well.
