As you well know Hamish, I like this sort if stuff. I'd probably have gone a touch darker with a bit more contrast. Any chance of getting the stems back on the top flower.

I've had a new desk made for the study in England and have just sorted everything into it. In the process I found several boxes of B&W prints amongst which was a shot of Cow Parsley blowing in the wind. I will scan the one I have and find the negative as it is worth re-printing I think. For me it is very English seeing the Cow Parsley at the side of the road and the margins of fields. I love the way it glows out against the fresh new greens.

Not attempted any sort of frame other than a black line before ...
Went with inner glow and stroke with complimentary colour ... You think it works then?

Yeah, it's one of those odd ones where I wouldn't have chosen it myself but actually really like it.

ive basically taken pretty much all my cues from your style with this one ... so guessed it would at least tick few of your boxes!

Sir, you flatter me! If I may, I would see what it looks like with the dark border a bit thinner and made the same colour as the dark stalks of the cow parsley.

what you think ... increased the inner glow slightly too??

I think I prefer the pre-glow version Hamish (but like them both) as ones eyes goes more to the flower head in that one.
