Daffodils on Fort Royal Hill

Nice Hamish must say #3 for me with the cathedral nicely framed and OOF good to see you are still taking photos :D

Cheers Kev ...
Yeah the cathedral shot had to be done! :)

always taking photos ...
just mostly of Connie, so I dont always feel like posting them ...
Ill post some more now :)

Really like the angle of view on these Hamish. Good work!

Beautiful shots, Hamish. The bokeh gives them a lovely portrait-like feel. And it appears that you've exploited the best of the day's light. Very nice.

Thanks Brian!
Its certainly a good time of day to take the dogs out ... walking the dogs is a good excuse to take out the camera, even if it is somewhere I go most days :)

I'm going for no# 1, fantastic colours in that one.
Fab set!!!
Everywhere you look there's dafs, they're all over the place!

Agree with Dan and Hannah - the colors in #1 are just fantastic

These seem to bring over some of the experience of the day which makes them more interesting I think. Often these kinds of shots can be a bit to perfect with flowers that look like they have especially been planted for the photographer by god. They can look sterile. By contrast these have a bit of life in them.

Cheers all!
This is the first time in a while I have shot anything in colour that isn't Connie so I thought it might as well be somthing very colourful! Bit of a tweak up with the vibrance control to get them to look like this!
I've also found that shooting at DR400 gives nice results .. Although when they are opened in LR they just seem underexposed and low contrast... I guess that how Fuji do it? But it is a good starting point for a bit of pp!

Fuji like their images a bit dull Hamish - I noticed that as well

All comes right with a little PP as you say

Cheers Shaun!

Chris & Dave...
I meant more specifically on DR400 ...
Give it a go and let me know if you get a similar response ...
From what looks to be a perfectly exposed image on the camera, when put into Lightroom it's at least 1 EV under exposed and flat as a pancake!
